Retainer – To begin the search for the right candidate, an upfront proposal fee is typically required. This fee, which generally ranges from $5,000 to $15,000, acts as a commitment deposit and allows our team to dedicate focused resources to your hiring needs. This fee is usually non-refundable and signals a serious partnership in filling your role.
The total recruitment fee is then calculated as a percentage of the new hire’s first-year base salary commonly between 20% and 35%, depending on the role and level of seniority. Payment is often structured in stages, for example:
- One-third of the total fee paid upfront as the proposal or retainer fee
- One-third upon presenting finalists or reaching key milestones
- Final third upon the candidate’s start date
